Demographics about households
People with the same last name at the same address are grouped as a family with the
family_id attribute. For example:

Since John and Betty share an address and last name, they have the same
family_id. James has a different
family_id because he has a different last name.
The key decision maker for the family is defined by
Children under the age of 18 do not have individual records. Instead, the records for the parents have attributes about their children such as age and gender. Information is gathered from product warranties, web registrations, response cards, magazine subscriptions, and other third party data.
children.age- The age of the child.
children.date_of_birth- The date of birth of the child.
children.gender- The gender of the child.
parent- Indicates the person is a parent, expecting parent, or potential parent.
estimated_married- Estimates if the person is married.
family.adult_count- The number of adults in the family.
family.children_count- Estimates the number of children in the family.
family.member_count- The number of members in the family.
family.estimated_has_children- Estimates there are children in the family.
When a possible 3-generation family is identified, all members of the family are marked with
family.grandparents_in_home. The oldest individuals are marked
family.grandparents_in_home- The family has a grandparent living in the home.
grandparent- Indicates the person is a grandparent.
