place_type helps clarify the role of the business location within an organization. The six place types are:
- headquarters - A place that serves as the main location for other places. May report to another headquarters.
- branch - A place that reports to a headquarters and is not a headquarters for other places.
- subsidiary - A place owned or controlled by another company or headquarters
- independent - A place that does not report to a headquarters and has no branch locations.
- individual - A professional individual who operates independently or within a shared practice.
- kiosk - An unmanned place such as an ATM.
