Classification system for the Organization based on whether it is an Employer, Non-Employer, Sole Proprietor, or a Holding Company. An Employer has full-time W-2 employees in the U.S. A Non-Employer is an operating business without full-time employees. A Sole Proprietor is a micro business without full-time employees that often operates from a residential address. A Holding Company is not engaged in economic activity, and is often used for real estate and financial transactions.
