workplace.estimated_corporate_sales_revenue is only available in the Data Axle database on records that are coded as headquarters.
Where available, corporate sales revenue figures are actual numbers compiled from annual reports, newspapers, and periodicals.
For headquarters without a reported sales value, Data Axle estimates a value based on the reported values.
Based on the reported sales figures, median values are calculated for various combinations:
- 4-digit SIC Code and employee counts
- 4-digit SIC Codes alone
- 2-digit SIC Code and employee counts
- 2-digit SIC Codes alone
The most granular ranked value is applied when available.
